“ My favorite restaurant in the south loop. The smell from the kitchen when entering is inviting, and a good indicator you're in the right place. It's a family owned restaurant, and the owner is often there running the show. The flavors and textures are amazing. Some of my favorites are palek paneer, garlic nan, papadum, chickpea salad, and fried paneer. This restaurant pairs well with an evening of jazz around the corner at the Jazz Showcase. ”

“ As someone who has had their fair share of Indian food spots in the city, I think that Chicago Curry House has made it on my go to list to order from! The food came hot and smelled fresh. For the food, we ordered- Butter Chicken (8/10): Was tasty and was not just chicken breast. It had a smoky flavor compared to other chicken dishes I've had from other Indian cuisine spots. There were just a couple bones. The sauce itself was tasty and we had a good amount of white rice to go with it! Garlic Naan (6/10): It had a good garlic flavor but it was a bit more doughy compared to other places and wasn't my favorite. And finally, for the star- the veggie Samosa. YUM! The samosas were perfectly crunchy and NOT oily! It had a tasty well balanced flavor with the green chutney. And the sauce has a slight spicy kick to it. I will definitely be thinking about these samosas from here on out! ”

“ This Thanksgiving, we decided to visit Chicago Curry House, and we were pleased to find that reservations weren't necessary. We opted for the Holiday Lunch Buffet, which offered an impressive variety of dishes. From appetizers to mains and desserts, there was something for everyone. A unique touch was the inclusion of a Turkey curry. While the vegetarian momo could have been a bit more flavorful, it was still a nice addition to the spread. The naan, however, was a standout--soft, hot, and perfectly baked. As for desserts, we couldn't get enough of the piping hot Gulab Jamun. The mango pudding was also a favorite, with a smooth, refreshing flavor that balanced the richness of the other dishes. Overall, the buffet was quite satisfying, and the quality of the food matched our expectations. The restaurant had a decent crowd, but it wasn't nearly as busy as the last time we visited, which made for a more relaxed dining experience. The service was exceptional--staff were attentive and quick to clear our plates without us having to ask. All in all, it was a lovely Thanksgiving meal, with great food, a variety of options, and excellent service. ”

“ Whenever I walk past Dearborn Park I would smell spices and warm curries wafting from this restaurant! Definitely a nicer place to go to, a bit pricier and decorated nicely inside. They have a reasonably priced buffet! Good portions, flavorful and good ratio of veggies to meat in the curries, not oily. You have to order rice on the side though! ”

“ Of course my daughter would crave Indian food while in Chicago -- luckily Chicago Curry House was just a short walk from our hotel. We were seated right away at a booth by a window. After our order was taken, the place started to get really busy as it began to crowd at the entrance. In just a few minutes all tables were taken. Service slowed down a bit as the staff tried to work through the influx. We had the Shrimp Makhani, Lamb Madras and Garlic Naan. They made a mistake by giving us Chicken Makhani, but it was corrected quickly. Every entree comes with basmati rice. Portions were smaller than what we're used to, but well prepared and delicious, nonetheless. The staff was kind and apologetic for the slow service. The owner came out to greet and check on tables. We would come back here again. ”
